Abstract The p(8Li,p)8Li elastic scattering measurement are important for astrophysics and nuclear reactions, mainly for the determination of the resonances of the 9Be compound nucleus, poorly known today at higher energies. To perform this measurement, will be used the 8Li radioactive beam produced by RIBRAS system, installed at the Pelletron Laboratory, which will be focused on a CH2 target, aiming its protons for the reaction, and on a 197Au target, for data normalization. The excitation function will be measured by the thick target method, with no need of beam energy changing. The scattered particles will be detected by DeltaE-E telescopes, consisting of silicon surface barrier detectors. The collected data will be analyzed using the R-matrix methodology. | |
