Abstract

Every day is the more frequent association of objective methods to assess hearing with the behavioral subjective methods used in the Audiology Clinic, to complement and become a more accurate diagnosis of hearing impairment. The objective of this work is to develop a protocol with the use of late latency auditory evoked potential, also known as late latency response (LLR) for the estimation of hearing thresholds in a group of young adults aged between 20 and 40 years, normal hearing, more specifically, without alteration and/or complaints hearing, neurological and/or psychiatric and genetic syndrome; and to correlate the tonal thresholds obtained through conventional audiological and electrophysiological rating. The hypothesis of this project is that it's possible to determine with certainty the tonal thresholds of normal hearing with the use of LLR and conventional audiological evaluation.(AU)
