Abstract The study describes and interprets the discursive process of identity construction of the Green Party and its candidate, Marina Silva, during the presidential campaign of 2010, focusing on the possible forms of speech broadcast of which is worth the Brazilian media to serve the demands of environmentalists and political. The search is performed based on the theories of journalism and news dealing with the process of news production in theoretical and Pena, Bridge, Sousa and Naughty. As a theoretical-methodological support, we will use the tools of Critical Discourse Analysis, proposed by British authors like Fairclough and Fowler, demonstrating how the media discourse is shaped by power relations and ideology, especially when related to the political sphere. As the corpus of this work will be reviewed two articles published in Brazilian journals with editorial features distinct: the Carta Capital magazine and see. Will be examined as two different discursive formations characterize the ecological discourse, political, observing a similar or completely different building. The text should include a time period ranging from days to 31/10/2010 and 10/06/2010 will be selected according to the subject discussed, in accordance with the objectives of this research is to address the ecological and political discourse Green Party.
