Abstract

This research aims to identify, design drawings of the architect Carlos Milan, the field of knowledge representation and constructive. The set of his architectural drawings will be the object of our investigation, we developed a framework deses drawings and from a pre-selection of major works and books of sketches choose those most significant to the research objectives. The idea is to check drawings in the search for relationships between the technical and formal solutions achieved by the architecture of Millan, within the cultural and technological context of modern Brazilian architecture from the 50s and 60s. This meeting between the technical and formal decision within its representation is what is the language of the project and the specific interest of our investigation. Understand therefore, going inside rigorous method of work of the architect Milan. We should still build interfaces research, covering also the relative variety of fields of action by which Carlos Millan moved like furniture design, urban planning, teaching, and how to observe their dialogues with their time and their partners.
