In this work we studied the pile load capacity (Qr) instrumented with strain gages in 3 (three) levels deep (0.15 m, 1.20 m 7.85 m), installed in Field Experimental Foundations of the UNESP of Ilha Solteira, which is registered at the Associação Brasileira de Mecânica dos Solos (ABMS). To this were mechanically drilled with auger three (3) holes with a length of 8 m and 0.30 m diameter which was placed in a polystyrene plate with 50 mm thick at the tip of the pile, and, diametrically opposite, two to be instrumentation steel bars (4f20 mm) at three different levels of depth. In each pile will be held one (1) rapid load test (QML) with the soil in its natural moisture. The compression load is in load stages, until a load resulting in rupture of the foundation soil or its excessive deformation (greater than 25 mm). The purpose of the polystyrene plate on the tip of the pile is to separate at the beginning of the load test of the portion of lateral friction that develops along the pile (Qs,r) of the cutting portion of the tip load of the pile (Qp,r). With the values of rupture load will be the study of these cuttings carrying load capacity and still be compared with the estimated values by semi-empirical methods available in the literature. (AU)
