Abstract

The paper addresses the issue of access to information of the railroad industrial heritage that comprises the EFNOB collection in the city of Bauru/SP, through the use of document databases. Because they constitute a major challenge in the collection, organization, digitalization and availability of this document collection, the research aims to organize and disseminate the document information, based on new access technologies, aiming to preserve and create conditions for implementation of a new document database of this collection. This research is a part of a Project entitled "EFNOB Bauru: Center of Memory and Virtual Information", which is part of the larger project called "EFNOB/Bauru, 0 Km.", Notice FAPESP/CONDEPHAAT N. 9/2011, Process N. 11/51014-6 and Process CONDEPHAAT N. 12/50041-2. One of the pillars of the work is to collect, treat, select and disseminate the movable and immovable assets of EFNOB, through the creation of a Center of Memory and Virtual Information of the Railroad Industrial Heritage of EFNOB. Contribute to the studies of Railroad Industrial Heritage, Department of Culture database, the State Archive and safeguard future research on the topic.
