Abstract

The main concern of this research project is to analyze the constitution of Patrocínio / MG as a "city of the agribusiness" functional to the modern coffee production. The city of Patrocínio / MG became the largest producer of coffee, with great functional specialization (trade and services) of its urban core. Analysis is to identify three axes proposed by Elias (2007): "new city-country relationships," the "agricultural labor market and dynamics of population" and "unequal socio-spatial ".
