Abstract

The aim of this study is to apply Nanoskin experimentally to evaluate the biocompatibility of the material for possible application in the repair of extensive superficial skin wounds. The authors stress the importance of reaching the development of a material that could reach the market, with national technology and affordable prices. Method: 40 guinea pigs will be elected to participate in this research. A piece of skin and subcutaneous tissue of the dorsal and median, measuring 2 cm X 4 cm will be removed. The animals will be divided into two groups: G1 in which the wound produced will be repaired in its cranial portion of skin graft from the animal itself and the caudal portion, repaired by a piece of Nanoskin G2, when the wound is repaired by a cranial fragment of skin and flow rate of the animal itself, for Nanoskin coated with gelatin. In both groups, the subcutaneous tissue adjacent to the cranial fragment is deployed Nanoskin uncoated (G1) or gelatin-coated (G2). Five animals per group are sacrificed 7, 30, 90, and 180 days after surgery. Ectoscópico examination will be carried out photographic documentation and morphometry, histology and morphometry, and transmission electron microscopy. The data will be subjected to statistical analysis.(AU)
