Abstract

In the present post-doctoral study, two subprojects are proposed:Subproject 1 - Instruments of measures adapted to the Portuguese language in the context of cardiology: an integrative reviewSummaryCardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death in Brazil and worldwide. Considering the different instruments that have been developed and validated in cardiology, it is important to know those adapted to the Portuguese language, the most frequently validated, the purpose of each instrument and what types of cardiovascular diseases they have been employed. Thus, this study aims to conduct an integrative literature review to identify and characterize measuring instruments adapted to the Portuguese language in the context of cardiology. There will be performed an integrative literature review, following the steps: establishing the research question or delimitation of the objectives of the review procedure for sampling or literature search, categorization and evaluation of the studies included in the review, and interpretation of results.Subproject 2 - Moderators of the effect of an intervention to reduce salt intake among women with hypertensionSummaryThe present study aims to identify the moderators of the effect of an intervention to reduce salt intake among hypertensive women. Specifically, it will be evaluated the moderating effect of demographic and clinical variables on the relationship between the intervention and the variables measuring salt intake. This is an exploratory and cross-sectional study and it is a continuity of a larger study, whose purpose was to develop and evaluate the effect of na intervention to reduce salt intake among hypertensive women, with particular focus on increasing self-efficacy and modification of habit. Ninety-two women were randomized into two groups: intervention (IG, n = 43) and control group (n = 49). It was collected sociodemographic and clinical data, psychosocial variables (intention, self-efficacy and habit) and the behavior of salt intake was measured (self-report measures: subjective question of behavior, discretionary salt, consumption of spices and seasonings; objective measure: 24h-urinary sodium excretion) before and after the intervention. For the identification of the moderators of the effect of intervention on measures of salt intake, it will be analyzed the interaction term by means of the ANOVA model.
