Abstract

The proposed research aims to understand the characteristics and functioning of the National School Nutrition Programme (PNAE) in the municipality of Pirapozinho / SP and investigate to what extent the program serves to improve the living conditions of local farmers, ie what is its relevance to the permanence and social reproduction of the farmers in the field. Thus, we seek to understand how the linkage of farmers with regard to the search for alternatives to solve common problems in the local association of farmers, allowing us to analyze the difficulties in the operationalization of the program in the county. In this sense, we also investigate what is the importance of the Program for the suppression of food insecurity in the municipality of Pirapozinho from the point of view of access to food by the school children as a way to verify the potential of such a policy public to articulate the solution of socioeconomic problems in the field, in the city. To achieve the proposed objectives resort to basic bibliography that permeates the research theme, as well as data collection from secondary sources (IBGE, SEADE, ENDF, CATI / LUPA) and primary (interviews and questionnaires).
