Abstract

Tuberculosis hospitalization is an important indicator of Primary Health Care (PHC) quality and effectiveness and it can reflect social life living conditions and the vulnerability of certain groups TB. The classic methodology of epidemiological studies has not considered the spatial dimension and social disorder. Thus, the research aims to analyze the spatial distribution of TB hospitalizations considering to the 2010 census data and its relation with social indicators in Ribeirão Preto - SP. The study is an ecological, , whose hospitalization data will be obtained from the Hospital Information System of the Unified Health System (SIH/SUS). The authors use census tracts data such as the smallest unit of information available from the 2010 Brazilian census (IBGE). Two indicators will be composed through social variables from IBGE, considering the statistic technique of Principal Components Analysis. This procedure is based in Kubrusly (2001), he/she defines procedures for the composition of indices from a base of multivariate data. In study, the authors will consider cluster analysis by hierarchical levels (Ward method) and they also will construct thematic maps to analysis of the spatial distribution of TB hospitalizations. Census tracts will be classified according to the Indicators of Social and Quality of households in high (1), medium (0.5) and low (0). The correlation coefficients of Moran and intensity Kernel estimator can be considered in spatial analysis,. The authors also planned to apply the Multiple Correspondence Analysis. (AU)
