Abstract

This research will analyze community newspapers in the state of São Paulo to try, through them, establish an analysis of how community newspapers and exert some kind of influence in the neighborhoods in which they are active. The newspapers will be analyzed in two communities in the city of Bauru, namely: the "Jornal do Ferradura", Ferradura Mirim community, and the Journal Community "Voz do Nicéia", Jardim Nicéia community. Both communities are on the margins of society and are betting in newspapers as true and authoritative voices that are acting as a tool to publicize the social problems present in ordinary neighborhoods. The production is performed by students of Journalism of two projects extension of Universidade Estadual Paulista "Julio de Mesquita Filho" - UNESP and content are guided by the communities in meetings and student visits to neighborhoods.
