Abstract

In the population with Auditory Neuropathy Spectrum and users of cochlear implant (CI), the characteristics inherent to this type of hearing loss may provide additional difficulties for developing listening skills more complex, such as the perception of speech sounds in the presence of noise. Thus, this study aims to analyze the results of the evaluation of speech perception in the presence of background noise of children with cochlear implant with Spectrum Disorder Auditory Neuropathy cochlear implant. This is an analytical study being conducted at the University of Manchester in England. The results will be analyzed statistically respecting the assumptions determined by the results, behavior and characteristics of the study variables. (AU)
