Abstract The Information Society or Knowledge Society had its beginning in the late twentieth century with the advent of organizations globalization and economic internationalization. Currently, information and knowledge have become strategic elements, both from the organizational and economic aspects, since these elements have become strategic resources for organizations to become more competitive in the real market. Thus, the organizations have in the information and knowledge contributions to subsidize environments strategic, tactical, and operational perform organizational actions. In addition, information and knowledge provide a subsidy to the decision-making process. Thus, it is extremely important that all people and sectors of the organization are committed to the process of information and knowledge managing, since these depend on culture and behavior that enhance the sharing and dissemination of information and knowledge relevant to business organization, whose impact on the actions and therefore the organizational objectives and goals contribute significantly to the growth and development of the organization. From this perspective, the organizations are becoming more demanding in respect of skills and abilities that employees should play in this process of scanning, collecting, interpreting, dissemination, and sharing of information and knowledge generated internally or externally to the organizational environment. To attend to the information needs of employees in an organization is necessary to know the information flows generated in this context, how to establish and are carried over in the organizational environment. Believe that the environments and information flows existing in determined organizations subsidize the process of organization competitive intelligence, since they are inputs and enable the development with short, medium, and long term. This research focuses primarily on understanding how information flows influence the process of competitive intelligence in organizations.(AU) | |
