Abstract This project aims to raise issues about the teaching of physics proposed and taught between 1931 and 1961, from the study of a set of old instruments belonging to the physics laboratory at the Bento de Abreu de Araraquara State School - EEBA. The EEBA, a renowned institution in the city, was the first state high school in Araraquara city and one of the first official secondary schools of Sao Paulo state. The initial phase of work will consist in finding information on the acquisition of old instruments, since at school there are not documents or records on the arrival of this material. Surveys will be conducted in the public archives of the State of São Paulo, Memory Center, Faculty of Education at USP. In order to analyze the history of physics teaching in the early years of the EEBA as official gymnasium, it will be conducted a detailed study of education legislation at that time. Based on the theoretical framework of the study will seek to discuss aspects of secondary education in physics between 1931 and 1961. This study aims to contribute to broaden the understanding of the historical project of diffusion of scientific culture in education. | |
