Abstract

The Entolomataceae species are easily recognized by the pinkish spore-print and by spore shape, which can be bumpy, ridged or angular with four to twelve angles in polar view. Although the shape (arrangement and number of angles and faces) of spores can be considered a critical characteristic for distinguish species, most specialists did not use this characteristic to the genus, subgenus and sections circumscriptions, even to the species with cuboid basidiospores, which are about 100 species, classified in eight genus. This project aims to access the phylogenetic relationship among the species with cuboid basidiospores and the relationship of these species with other Entolomataceae taxa. After the DNA extraction, RPB2, TEF1 and ATP6 and, if will necessary, LSU, mtSSU and ITS regions will be sequenced. The sequences obtained will be aligned by regions. Then maximum parsimony, maximum likelihood and Bayesian inference analyses will be performed using individual and combined alignments. The resulting clades will be correlated with the morphology of the species to find macro and microscopic characters that define the groups. (AU)
