Abstract

In a context of hegemonization of a specific way of scientific production, based on ideals of productivity and objectivity, the discussion about the relation between psychoanalysis and science becomes interesting. Considering the production about it, we highlight the text "Science and True" (1966), written by the psychoanalyst Jacques Lacan, in which the author performs a displacement of psychoanalysis in relation to science, based on clinical concepts and theoretical references in the area of science philosophy. This position of psychoanalysis brings important consequences for science itself, by treating some assumptions that are necessary to modern science constitution. The purpose of this project is to analyze the concepts used by Lacan, aiming to verify if they support an epistemologycal discussion. The concepts at stake are "true", "cause" and the "Name-of-the-Father", that are used not only to discuss the psychoanalysis scientificity, but also to establish a dialog with philosophers. This way, these concepts are used to question some points in the epistemology field, out from a re-lecture of the cartesian "cogito", up to a critic of metaphysics. Thereby, its necessary to verify if these clinical concepts are proper to an epistemologycal discussion, and it will be done by establishing a conceptual map which meets the moment of emergency and the developments of each concept, aiming a clearer discussion.
