Abstract

This work intends to be developed in the Faculty of Science and Technology, New University of Lisbon, Portugal, placed in the context of the work undertaken by the Study Group on Planning under Teacher Dr. José das Neves Pires Miguel Amado. Activities will be developed that will bring current research in Brazil with the theme Sustainable Constructions, seeking greater knowledge of the applicability of alternative materials in green buildings. Such work will allow, greater knowledge about energy conservation, steps of the design process and construction techniques. The method discussed in the case study can be defined as descriptive, because the research is intended to describe an intervention and its real context. Initially be considered the work undertaken by the Study Group, in addition to periodicals, in order to show the theoretical basis. In the sequel, will identify the main stages of the design process and techniques that define energy conservation, green building and deployment techniques. New technologies, based on the experiences abroad, will be evaluated. To consolidate the study, it will start the case study, through visits to works built with the concept of sustainability. (AU)
