Abstract

In the present study, the drug delivery in surface of the Ti-15Mo alloy will be evaluated after nanotubes growth. Ingots will be obtained from titanium and tantalum by using an arc-melting furnace. They will be submitted to heat treatment and cold worked by swaging. After nanotubes growth in the surface of the samples, drug will be incorporated and surface will be coated using two techniques: plasma deposition and dip coating. Scanning electron Microscopy (SEM), contact angle and UV spectroscopy will be used for surface analysis. In vitro studies, such as, cell growth and biofilms will be used to evaluate drug incorporation. (AU)
