Abstract

The purpose of this work is to study problems of elliptic equations involving the biharmonic operator under the boundary conditions of the type: Navier, Dirichlet and Steklov. Under these boundary conditions we study: the question on the positivity of the Green function; questions involving positivity of solutions of minimum energy; questions on the symmetry of solutions of minimum energy; questions about the existence, uniqueness and multiplicity of positive solutions; some conjectures involving the biharmonic operator.
