Abstract

In this work will be evaluated in vivo and in vitro, the effects of different sources of fat and glycerin in diets for steers over the ruminal biohydrogenation efficiency and intestinal fatty acids flow, fermentation and the ruminal microbial protein synthesis, consumption and apparent digestibility of dry matter and nutrients, blood-chemical parameters, the energy balance and nitrogen. Diets will forage: concentrate ratio of 30:70 containing glycerin 100 g / kg DM and lipid sources (soybean grain, soybean oil and protected fat) as ether extract content of 50 g / kg DM and forage will be corn silage. The in vivo experiment the food will be provided to eight Nellore bulls, with an weight on average of 480 kg, aged mean 30 months, cannulated in the rumen and duodenum. Will be performed four experimental periods of 15 days each, nine days of adaptation and six days to the collections. The animals will be allotted in a duplicate 4x4 Latin square. For better control of process conditions related to what happens in the rumen biohydrogenation, will be also performed an in vitro assay, will be use of ruminal fluid was collected from the same animals fed to experimental diets. The in vitro incubation will be used six sets of five bottles containing rumen fluid; in four series of bottles, will be the added substrate of the diets for each treatment, and other two groups will be added substrate of the control diet plus the addition, individually , linoleic and linoleic acids, for a total of 6 treatments. The experiment will be subdivided plots, statistical analysis will be performed using the Mixed procedure of SAS (2004). (AU)
