Abstract

The project presented here is related to the effects of gluon saturation in relativistic collisions involving ions at very high energies and aims to continue the research activities developed during my Masters, held at the Department of Experimental Physics (DEP) at University of São Paulo (USP), under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Francisco de Oliveira Durães.Much of the study is being proposed aims to investigate the possibility of state formation called Color Glass Condensate in collisions involving relativistic ions at very high energies, whose properties can be linked to early interactions of gluons in different regimes in these collisions. We are particularly interested in studying how this phenomenon manifests itself in the behavior of total and differential cross sections of light and heavy hadrons with the energy of the reaction, produced in proton-proton and electron-proton collisions, to extend it to photon-proton, photon-photon, proton-nucleus, nucleus-nucleus and electron-nucleus collisions.Our interest in these cases is that, besides representing a natural continuity of studies performed in my Masters, bring with them a current and very rich physics, whose theoretical understanding should significantly advance with the experiments already in progress, as well as those being proposed for the near future.
