Abstract

This project aims to obtain more accurate results with regard to the space library located in museums, developing projectual guidelines related to the processes of design, production, and operation of layouts in these spaces. The proposal of the evaluation focuses on the Rail Museum Bauru and aims to apply the methods and procedures of Post-Occupancy Evaluation (POE), producing a new architectural design for the museum library, and propose possible ways of libraries in projective Brazilian museological context. The research also aims to assess the built environment that building understanding not only the traditional concept of the library, but how that space can absorb new digital resources (databases, cartographic and photographic), recommendations projectual in the selection, organization, and dissemination of cultural heritage through the creation of a Center of Memory and Virtual Information in the museum space. This research is part of a project entitled "EFNOB Bauru: Center of Memory and Virtual Information", which is part of the larger project called "EFNOB/Bauru, 0 Km.", Notice FAPESP/CONDEPHAAT N. 9/2011, Process N. 11/51014-6 and Process CONDEPHAAT N. 12/50041-2, specific topic "organization of museum collections, databases and information dissemination industrial railway heritage" directed by Prof..
