Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the physical space of the Jundiaí Railway Museum library in order to propose requirements and recommendations project linked to spatial and functional issues that environment. For that will be carried out Post-Occupancy Evaluation (POE ) through the use of multimethod : study of design memory, walkthrough , photographic , questionnaires and interviews . The research also aims to assess the built environment of this building understanding not only the traditional concept of the library museum , but how this space can absorb new digital resources (databases , cartographic and photographic bases ). The work belongs to one of three case studies of collections of railway museums in São Paulo ( Bauru , Sorocaba and Jundiaí ) which proposes a reflection on the libraries museums , from the point of view of the spatial organization of the railway museum collections industrial heritage . Furthermore , this research is linked to two major projects named " EFNOB / Bauru , Km 0 ," (FAPESP / CONDEPHAAT No. 11/51014-6 and " Memory Train ( 1869-1971 ) : Inventory of São Paulo industrial heritage railway " (Process No. 12/11259-2).
