Abstract

This research aims at develop and structure practical proposals of educational games, to support the work of teachers of Geosciences, students of under graduation courses and, notably, Geography teachers of basic education. The teacher often is not prepared to use such methodology, even if the games have been produced from the lived space of the target public and objectives and defined age.Educational games are scarce materials in the classroom, but with easy access and application. Experiments with geographic games built with attractive and dynamic materials are relevant contributions to the teaching of Geography. Previous experience of the proposer focuses on games aimed at environmental education and development of cartographic notions. Thus, it is intended, by implementing the research, design, and offer courses, workshops and educational materials containing theoretical explanation of each theme and define procedures "step by step" to making games.Besides disseminating the game itself, the workshops aim to create a space for dialogue for teachers who are already in office and allow you to perform a critical evaluation of the educational quality of the game itself. The search will produce a list of relevant criteria for analysis. The proposer must evaluate the games from the perspective of professional education, using questionnaires to be filled at the end of the activities, and monitoring of some teachers who apply the material in the classroom.
