Abstract

This project intends to research under a conceptual bias the current relationship between rhetoric and music. Therefore it's necessary to define the concept of rhetoric what will be done through the study of current conceps, especially the New Rhetoric of Chaïm Perelman and by further comparison with the classic Aristotelian concept. Finally, the work will identify possible applications of this art in the contemporary musical context and through a phenomenological reading of the transition occurred between the rhetoric and the music in the sixteenth century, as well as the comparison of the paradigms identified in the contemporary musicological production.
