Abstract

The aim of this project is to study different inclusion levels of methionine based on different criteria responses (maximum response in terms of weight gain and improved feed conversion) for piglets in the initial phase by meta-analysis. will be selected published articles in indexed journals that present results for the observational parameters related to animal production in a dose-response experiments using different types and levels of methionine. First, the database was analyzed graphically to observe the distribution of data and presence of outliers. Afterwards correlation analysis and variance-covariance analyses will be carried out. Aiming to visualize globally influential factors on the results of methionine supplementation will be used multivariate procedures. To determine parameters for the model concerning the relationship of animal response to sex, genetics and type of methionine provided, will proceed an exploratory analysis of factors. The determination of the performance for the type of methionine will be done by multiple regression for each type of methionine. If successful, this study will filling gaps in nutrition of piglets and justify future studies. (AU)
