Abstract

This research aims to analyze the attitudes toward old age and elderly people with chronic illness who live with children aged from seven to ten years old. It is a cross sectional, descriptive study, based on the quantitative method of investigation, which will be held in São Carlos, São Paulo state, with elders diagnosed with at least one chronic disease, enrolled in the Family Health Program of the São Carlos and coexisting daily with children aged from seven to ten years old. The subjects who have the inclusion criteria and agree to participate in the research will be interviewed individually, applying the Sociodemographic Characterization of the Subjects and Semantic Differential Scale of Attitudes Toward Aging. Regarding the ethical aspects, the research project was approved by the Ethics Committee of the Universidade Federal de São Carlos. (AU)
