Abstract

The main aim of this Project of Scientific Initiation is the participation of the student in the diagnosis of precursor phase of solar flares based on identification and analysis of meter emissions (45-870 MHz) recorded by CALLISTO-BR (Compound Astronomical Low frequency Low cost Instrument for Spectroscopy and Transportable Observatory). The detection of radio emissions identified as a signature of the pre-flare can provide information about variations in the magnetic field of active regions responsible for the occurrence of the majority of solar flares. In this case, activities are scheduled for characterizing the evolution of the global event (identification of the radio emissions recorded during each phase of the associated flare), in particular, the determination of observational parameters (spectral and temporal) and the time interval prior to occurrence of radio emissions relative to the instant of peack of X-ray flares. In this sense, the project should contribute to increase the capacity of pre-processing and data analysis carrier out by Solar Research Group CELESTE - Latin American Center for Solar-Terrestrial Studies, of IP&D / Univap, besides providing to the student learning the phenomenology of solar bursts in this frequency range and spectro-temporal tools for data analysis.
