Abstract

A series of new hypervalent iodine(III) compounds will be preparedin situ, including those derived from peptides and from poli-methylated iodo arenes. These compounds will be tested mainly in ring contraction reactions, aiming the synthesis of diverse cyclic compound optically active. Other reactions, such as ±-oxy-tosiloxylation and spiro lactonization will also be tested, thus increasing the scope of the methodology.
