Abstract

This project aims at doing a comparative study of the texts on painting and sculpture in Francis Ponge and other contemporary writers in his time. Ponge was chosen becasuse, during all life, he got involved with Plastic Arts and Artists, having written substantialy about this theme. The main goal of the project is to uncover the textual resources and markers that reveal pictorial elements in the lexical (words and expressions), graphic (typographic choices), onomastic (painting names and painters names) domains as well as in the writing process. Briefly, we aim at uncovering how the Plastic Arts are present in the work of Francis Ponge and his contemporary fellow writers. (AU)
