Abstract

The purpose of this research is to carry out a historic analytical study of the newspaper Correio de Bauru, favoring aspects as the maintained connection between the jornalistic activity and society, the presence of the urban subject matter, the differences and similarities between the great printing press of the period, and by focusing on the studied publication, how the modernization and the integration process of the new manufacturing standards in the press of the 1920's were done and with the historic analysis the research will adopt as its methodology the reading of the newspaper's editions to identify the editorial and political position, its relationship with society and the city, and also the importance of this newspaper among other publications existing in the municipality at that time.
