Abstract

The acumulation of plant residues from crop systems can positively influence the soil organic matter quality, and, similarly to the conventional soil tillage, in a no tillage system also exists the need of inputs application, especially, correctives of soil acidity.Within this approach, this research project aims to assess the influence of crop systems and surface application of correctives of soil acidity in the soil organic matter quality. This work is part of a long-term research project installed in the 2006/07 agricultural year at Lageado Experimental Farm, College of Agricultural Sciences - UNESP, Botucatu-SP. The plots consist of four crop systems (I - "Season - Forage", II - "Season - Off Season", III - "Season - Fallow, IV - "Season - Green Manure/Cover Plant") and the subplots of two correctives of soil acidity applied in october of 2006 and the control treatment ( I - correction with lime, II - correction with calcium and magnesium silicate, III - without corrective of soil acidity. The experimental design is a randomized block in a split-splot, with eight replications. The soil organic matter quality will be analyzed after autumn -winter period of the 2012/13 agricultural year. It will be analyzed soil microbial biomass C, C and N of particulate organic fraction, besides C and N of the soil (AU)
