Abstract

This work presents the general objective of the analysis of social and environmental vulnerabilities related to urban rivers, assessing the modification of urban river environments and their consequences. The study area of research is the Piracicamirim River watershed in the city of Piracicaba/SP, as this is a significant basin that is characterized by being one of the main vectors of the urban expansion of the city. This research will analyze the issue of social and environmental vulnerabilities in the selected basin specifically as floods that occur during rainy periods. (AU)
