Abstract

In this project, correspondences between pertubative models in curved spacetimes and appropriate algebraic duals will be investigated. The geometries of interest include black hole solutions in brane world scenarios. Following several proposals in the literature, we aim to associate the near horizon scalar dynamics to an appropriate algebraic structure related with the invariance of the scalar field evolution under conformal transformations. Frequencies and quasinormal modes associated with the scalar field will be calculated with the proposed algebraic approach. The viability of the extension of the algebraic techniques to the electromagnetic case will be checked. (AU)
