Abstract

The multinuclear manganese complex has gained a notoriety for its ability to mimic the Photosystem II mechanism (PSII) of photosynthesis, in addition the great importance catalytic with electron-transfer process of multistage. The electrochemical processes of multinuclear complexes in modified electrodes are important to be studied for applications such as chemical sensors. This project aims to study the electrochemical behavior of manganese(IV)-2,3,5,6-tetrakis(2-pyridyl)pyrazine (TPPZ) multinuclear complex immobilized in a cationic polymeric support and to evaluate its applicability in the electrocatalytic determination of species of environmental, clinical and pharmaceutical importance.
