Abstract

This research proposes a study of the production of conventional news media, taking as corpus analysis books "Theories of Journalism" - Volume I and II- Nelson Traquina - two works that gather meaningful content on the formation and consolidation of journalistic tribe their professional ethos as guide value of the postures to be adopted at each stage of journalistic production. Thus, it has been designed to demonstrate and understand the characteristics of transnational interpretive community, in order to verify how this conception of journalism holds current professional culture and inserts on conventional news production. Thus, from the theories of journalism, we seek to identify what are the criteria for newsworthiness and news concept present in journalistic productions of the mainstream media. The present study, therefore, intends to add interpretive and theoretical load a broader research project - which is part of this study, which is being developed with the support of the Foundation for Research Support of the State of São Paulo (FAPESP), called the Journalism of "Desacontecimentos": a study of Eliane Brum's news production. In order to substantially enrich this project and raise new bibliographic data, the present analysis will deal in hypotheses and to understand the fundamentals of journalistic production in their spheres conventional and the called "desacontecimentos".
