Abstract

The Scientific Journalism meets in its essence an activity characterized by the public interest - journalism - and the themes of Science, Technology and Innovation - crucial to national development. This project aims to produce journalistic material about science withthe aim of providing information to the public in general about the scientific work, arousing interest, contextualizing issues and adressing science as a process with motivations and social, cultural and economic consequences. The project focuses on the dissemination of the activities developed by the research group on climate change AlcScens of Unicamp, part of the FAPESP Research Programme on Global Climate Change, in the electronic newspaper ComCiência and in the communication channels created by the group. The AlcScens consists of 10 thematic groups of researchers studying the adaptation of the Brazilian agricultural system, especially the production of sugar cane, to the ongoing climate changes on the planet.
