Abstract

Introduction: We live historically in a culture in which social relationships as well as of work have been built based upon the binarism: the man - male, active, culture-inclined, provider vis a vis the woman - female, passive, nature-inclined, care taker. Therefore, the works related to the caring are up to women, which, in turn, are belittled both socially and culturally. To GILLIGAN'S (1982) theory the male morale is related to the notion of justice whereas the female morale is related to the idea of responsibility toward the other, which can dialogue with Freudian theory in which the female aspect would be attributed to unconditional love, the emotional replenishment whereas regarding the male - the interdiction, the normative function, the role of law and order. That reality is embedded in the treatment to the bearers of mental disorders. Objective: We will seek to apprehend how gender interactions (male and female logics) permeate the professional and interpersonal relations (institutional logic) in the scope of mental health institutions for children and adolescents (CAPSis) and resonate with the caring dispensed to its members. Method: A form will be filled in, semi-open interviews will be carried out, focused groups and observation with the elaboration of a diary for that field in 2 "CAPSis" in São Paulo state, Brazil. For the analysis of results, a triangulation of data from the forms will be used; as well as data collected from focused groups and interviews. The theoretical approach will be: the theoretical assumptions of institutional analysis, which preconizes the Psychiatric Reform, the gender theories, besides some concepts of psychoanalysis.
