Abstract

During the stay the researcher will develop new biocompatible materials for biomedical applications. Furthermore, it is also expected to conduct experiments and learn new experimental techniques that are not used by the candidate. Part of the research project, as the first synthesis and characterization will be developed in the UPV / EHU and CRMD. Additional studies will be conducted at the IFGW/Unicamp and CNPEM (LNLS and LNNano). Expected to advance knowledge in relation to new nanostructured materials. In particular, it aims to study the structural and magnetic properties of magnetic biofunctional nanoparticles. Initially the studies will be focus on standard systems, such as Fe3O4 and Fe2O3. An attempt is made in this proposed work, a systematic study of the systems referred to subsequently proceed in more complex systems such as ferrite or manganese perovskites. The main approach under this work plan is to improve the control of the synthesis of biocompatible magnetic nanosystems. Study fundamental phenomena and magnetic properties of systems with low complexity and then more complex systems phenomena not yet understood.synthesis: co recipitation, one step rection polioles, Sol-Gel, micelas inversas. Experimental Techniques: XRD, SANS, TEM, HRTEM, Hypertermia, ac and dc susceptibility, Mossbauer spectroscopy, etc. (AU)
