Abstract

The goal of this research project is focused in the synthesis, characterization and study of the effects of polymer chain length, concentration of polyoxometalates and also surface treatment of recycled polyethyleneterephthalate (PET) substrates of photochromic films. Organic - Inorganic Hybrids (OIH) so-called di-ureasil with different polymer length containing different phosphotungstic acid H3PW12O40 (PWA) content will be obtained by sol gel process on flexible PET recycled substrate. Moreover, surface treatment by using alkoxides such as amino and fluorsilanes will be performed on PET substrate aiming the wettability control between OIH/PWA/substrate.
