Abstract

The lodging of rice plants at harvest mechanization affect, besides causing significant yield loss. The use of cultivars prone to lodging coupled with the supply of nitrogen by inoculation with Azospirillum bacteria (nitrogen-fixing), has increased the incidence of the problem. Regulators are one of the viable alternatives to reduce lodging, however there is little information and studies about new cultivars. This study aims to evaluate the response of upland rice cv 5011 ANA inoculated with Azospirillum brasilense at doses of ethyl Ttrinexapac applied at the time of floral differentiation. The experiment will be developed in Selvíria-MS area with conventional tillage and sprinkler irrigation. The experimental design is a randomized block design arranged in 5x2 factorial arrangement of treatments and will consist of a combination of seed inoculation with Azospirillum brasilense using commercial product 2x108 viable cells per gram containing strains AbV5 and AbV6 (presence or absence) and trinexapac-ethyl doses (0, 50, 100, 150 and 200 g of ai ha-1) applied during the floral differentiation of plants. During the development of the project will be determined by the following: seedling emergence, flowering, plant height, lodging grade, number of panicles per m2, number of grains per panicle (total, full and voids), weight of 100 grains, pasta hectoliter and grain yield.
