Abstract

The aim of this work is to study the feasibility of reuse a waste material from sewage sludge treatment as raw material in the production of alkali-activated binders. Binary systems sewage sludge ash/blast furnace slag, in different proportions, and several alkali concentration of NaOH solutions will be assessed for alkali-activated binders production. Compressive strength of mortars cured at room temperature for 7, 28 and 91 days will be assessed. It is expected that sewage sludge ash could be used as raw material in the production of green concrete.
