Abstract

From the spatial and temporal clipping set - the Captaincy of Rio Grande de São Pedro in the years 1760-1777 - the stage is intended for general guidance visit the archives of the cities of Portugal (Lisbon and Porto) to gather original documents, especially cartographic, and get access to the research topic related studies. In short, what you want to understand through cartographic representations produced during that period are trade relations, territorial disputes and forms of occupation and colonization of the border regions of southern Brazil and their geopolitical treaties.
