Abstract

This PhD program aims the general objective of showing the pertinence of results, methods and algorithms based on dynamic optimization and more precisely, on optimal control in the resource management on agriculture. In particular, it focus on the challenges arising from the following aspects: 1. Conflict management between the need to guarantee short term economic competiveness and to secure long term envioment sustainability. 2. Arbitration of decision strategies and control of multiple agents of production with possibly conflicting objectives and constraints by geophysical reality dictated by geography, climate and ecosystems, as well as other constraints induced by anthropogenic activities in nature.3.Research on results for Dynamic Optimization and the development of methods needed to meet specific challenges that appear when addressing the above problems.
