Abstract

Considering the high incidence of school violence between pairs and the consequences that this problem can bring to students, the present study aims to investigate possible relations between school victimization and the emergence of PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) symptoms in children and teenagers from 6th and 7th grade of elementary school. Besides, the study will characterize the very worst school experience of the participants, analyzing its frequency and duration. For that will be used a translated and validated instrument for Brazil by Albuquerque e Williams (in press), named "Escala sobre Experiências Escolares Traumáticas em Estudantes - Revisada (ExpT-R)".
