Abstract

The applicant intends, with the support of "Bolsa Estágio de Pesquisa no Exterior" (Bepe-Doutorado)", research in Spain from June 21 to July 27, 2014 under the direct supervision of Spanish historian José Antonio Piqueras Arenas, Professor of the Department of History, Geography and Art at the Universitat Jaume I (in Castellón) and recognized as a leading expert on Spanish empire of the nineteenth century. This projects aims to broaden the repertoire of primary sources used in his doctoral research and, at the same time, provide the opportunity of scholarly interlocution with said researcher, started in international academic event in Havana in late 2013.
