Abstract

The development of this internship overseas research aims to contribute to the understanding of the incorporation of residue tire rubber composites, from contact with other techniques for testing, complementing the research project already underway. When we leave the study of mortars with incorporation of different particle sizes of rubber tires, we propose to work with another binder (gypsum) with incorporation of rubber, in this case, the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia - UPV, Spain, a city with which our research group Materiais Alternativos de Construção - MAC has links search. So be evaluated some physical - mechanical characteristics of composite gypsum by incorporating two different particle sizes of rubber tires from the retread industry. The physico - mechanical characteristics will be studied: tensile scanning electron microscopy in bending, compressive strength. After completion of the experimental trials, the main influences incorporating crumb rubber produced in the composites can be observed. Where the transformation of rubber from the tire recycling involves the mitigation of the impact generated by residue tires, and enables a new niche market involving concern for the environment, and that here is consolidated with the transfer to the productive sector of the knowledge generated the university.
