Abstract

Investigate the action of aspects phonetic-phonological in the period of spelling´s acquisition is the more general concern of research - which has been developed in the country, supported by FAPESP (process - 2013/13814-6). More specifically, taking into consideration the relationship phonology/spelling, our proposal is to investigate the performance of orthographic consonants sonorants in syllabic position of simple attack. For the Bolsa Estágio de Pesquisa no Exterior (BEPE), our proposal will be related mainly to the development of the studies that we deem necessary to categorize the types of orthographic substitutions due to phonological features of the language, one of our research goals in the country. Productions of 76 children attending the first grade of elementary school, in two public schools in the State of São Paulo, in the year 2001, will be analyzed. These productions are from 14 different thematic proposals collected fortnightly, in the classroom. The data that regarding our main goal during development of BEPE will be categorized into orthographic substitutions and phonological substitutions. These last one will be subdivided according to mobilize elements of the same phonological class (the sonorants phonemes) or mobilize other phonological class elements (more specifically, the great class of phonemes obstruents). Then, the errors occurring phonological characterized as within the class of sonorants will be analyzed according to the phonological traits involved in orthographic substitutions. For the analysis of these traits, we will use based on the standard model of Acquisition of contrasts (PAC) proposed by Lazzarotto-Volcano (2009), based, in turn, in postulates of Clements & Hume (1995) and Clements (2009).
