Abstract

The project consists on a methodological study of two transformations involving Indolizines obtained from Morita-Baylis-Hillman adducts. They are: an asymmetric transfer hydrogenation reaction and an asymmetric Friedel-Crafts alkylation , both catalyzed by chiral phosphoric acids derived from BINOL. The Indolizines are interesting building blocks, since they can be converted to compounds endowed with biological activity and to indolizidinic alkaloids. (AU)
